- Hi all!
-
- I have been following the newsgroups for a bit, and have not seen this
- question pop up. Is running Netscape possible for ShapeShifter? I have
- read a couple of faq's and one stated that Netscape 1.1 might not work.
- Since then I have tried Netscape 1.12 and 2.0b3. Neither of them work
- for me either (the screen just locks up on me.) I was wondering if
- anyone has successfully gotten it to run, and if so what are your system
- specs?
-
- I am running ShapeShifter on an A4000/warped40MHz with a Cybervision64,
- I give SS about 10 megs of fast mem to play with and I have the System
- 7.1 (with the system 3.0 upgrade) software. I have tried booting Shape-
- Shifter from a clean workbench to avoid any program conflicts with
- ShapeShifter and I have even tried just running ShapeShifter just in a
- local mode by viewing some jpegs from the harddrive. Everything I have
- tried just continues to cause Netscape to lock.
-
- I apologize if this is an old issue, but ANY reply would be appreciated,
- after all, Netscape is about 90% of the reason I got ShapeShifter online
- in the first place. Anyone who has not tried ShapeShifter, give it a
- try (gfx card recommended!) It is simply amazing! Lot's of fun playing
- Doom on the machine ID said would never be able to - thru an emulator at
- that! :) ShapeShifter is the best $40 I have ever spent on Shareware.
